Overview

The Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration is a comprehensive program designed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge required to excel in the field of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) and refrigeration. Throughout the course, students will undergo rigorous training in various aspects of refrigeration systems, air conditioning technology, and regulatory compliance. Here's a breakdown of the Air conditioning and Refrigeration course components:

Refrigeration Systems Skills: Students will learn how to select components, install, test, and maintain refrigeration systems used for food storage and preservation. This includes understanding the principles of refrigeration, handling refrigerants safely, and troubleshooting common issues in refrigeration equipment.

Air Conditioning Technology: The Air conditioning and Refrigeration course covers the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of air conditioning systems for buildings and premises. Students will gain hands-on experience in working with different types of air conditioning units, ensuring proper air distribution, and optimizing system efficiency.

Regulatory Compliance: A crucial aspect of the Air conditioning and Refrigeration course is understanding and adhering to regulatory requirements for purchasing, handling, and working with refrigerants. Students will be prepared to obtain the necessary licenses, such as the (RAC01) Refrigerant Handling Licence with the Australian Refrigeration Council.
